Mark Watson's work supports families after psychoeducational assessments helping parents understand results, apply recommendations, build routines at home, and communicate effectively with school teams.

Keli Johnston has a long, credentialed history in the study of child development and personal growth. Having completed formal studies as a Registered Professional Counsellor, Keli is deeply committed to supporting parents in the understanding of themselves and their children, and to supporting older adolescents, young adults, and others in understanding themselves. Please note, Keli does not see children under the age of 16 but she’d be more than happy to provide parental support for those parents who are seeking counselling for children under the age of 16. She has been a career student of Dr. Gordon Neufeld, Dr. Daniel Seigel, and Dr. Gabor Mate for years, and is also trained in Byron Katie’s inquiry process and Mark Wolynn’s Family Constellations work. Additionally, Keli has been a senior team member for Gila Golub, world-renowned counselor and personal growth specialist, since 2010. Keli’s focus is to have each of her parent clients connect with their own instinctual knowing that, even on their worst day, they are their best bet for their child – an inner knowing that there is something they can give their child that no one else can. Keli believes that when parents can understand their child developmentally, they are beautifully positioned to optimally support their child’s growth. She knows that when parents and caregivers are able to really see the child in front of them, and, can commit to growing themselves in order to grow the child, everyone thrives in living their best life.

David has been studying and teaching about parenting for over 30 years as a Speech Language Pathologist and Autism Consultant and has been practicing with his own children for more than 25 years. Mr. Loyst noticed that the common behaviourist parenting techniques of consequences and time-outs (that he initially advocated!!) did not work for the children he worked with or for his family. Instead they seemed to cause an increase in anxiety and stress, and a breaking down of relationships, ultimately leading to a shutting down of their social/emotional development. These observations led Mr. Loyst to the study of developmental attachment parenting and the implications for educational environments.

Mr. Loyst also noticed that he didn’t always implement what he intended. He would catch himself doing or saying something to his children, his partner, or his employees that he knew was not right. He was inspired by his own challenges to learn about the workings of the mind and how to care for himself so that he could truly lead and care for his family and business. Over the past 2 decades, David has become a senior team member of the Work of Gila Golub and supported hundreds of clients to transform their personal challenges to create peaceful, loving relationships with their families and effortless abundance in their careers.

Mr. Loyst is the Co-Director of The North Star Developmental Clinic alongside Dr Vanessa Lapointe.

Mark Watson, MA, CEC Educational Advisor and Parent & Family Educational Coach (IEP and Psychoeducational Support)

I believe every child deserves an educational experience that recognises their strengths, supports their differences, and gives them a real chance to thrive. Too often, parents are left trying to interpret assessments and advocate for accommodations on their own. My work exists to remove that uncertainty and guide families toward clarity, confidence, and a meaningful plan forward.

My understanding of learning differences is rooted in both professional expertise and personal, lived experience. I understand the emotional landscape families walk through, and I bring genuine empathy and passion to partnering with parents as they navigate a complex and sometimes overwhelming educational system.

I’m a former classroom teacher, school principal, and vice principal, and today I work as an educational advisor, parent and family coach, and board member in both the K–12 and post-secondary sectors. I am trained in applied neuroplasticity programs for neurodiverse learners and have spent much of my career supporting students with diverse learning needs and unique learning profiles.

Parents often tell me they’re unsure how to make recommendations real in the classroom, or how to ensure schools follow through. My role is to translate psychoeducational reports into practical steps, collaborate around IEP development, and prepare you for school meetings—so your child’s accommodations move from paper into practice.

Areas of support include: • Parent and family educational coaching • Interpreting psychoeducational evaluations • IEP development and review • Advocacy and preparation for school meetings • Understanding and implementing accommodations • Navigating neurodiversity in school settings • Turning recommendations into action

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when families are empowered, children flourish. I’m here to walk alongside you, ask the right questions, and help ensure your child is truly seen, understood, and supported.
